AccroNex is an annual hackathon created by Accron Revolutions and hosted with the Faculty of Technological Studies at the University of Vavuniya. The first edition runs on Thursday 5 November 2026.
Accron Revolutions builds software. We know that the shortest route from a lecture hall to a shipped product is a day spent building with people who push you. AccroNex gives University of Vavuniya students that day, with real problem statements, real judges and real prizes.
The format is deliberately demanding: the problem stays sealed until the opening ceremony, every team starts from an empty repository, and the code is defended in front of the panel. What you take home is proof that your team can build under pressure, which is exactly what employers and investors want to see.
Problems worth solving come from the Northern Province and the country beyond it. We pick statements with real users behind them.
Slides don't win. A working prototype, defended line by line, does.
Design, data and storytelling count as much as code. Mixed teams do better.
Three faculties, all four years, one hall. Mentors from industry on the floor all night.
