Who we are
Accron Revolutions operates https://accronex.net and the AccroNex participant platform, together with the Faculty of Technological Studies, University of Vavuniya. Contact: support@accronautobot.com.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email and mobile number when you sign up, and your Google profile name if you sign in with Google.
- Team registration: for every member, full name, student ID, email, mobile number, faculty, degree programme, academic year, role, skills and any portfolio links you choose to add.
- Competition data: your team name, past projects, idea pitch, and later repository links, checkpoint uploads, scores and reviewer comments.
- Finalists only: meal type, the name for the certificate, an emergency contact and any allergy or medical note you choose to give.
- Event data: check-in time, photos and video taken at the venue.
- Sponsors and contacts: name, company, email and messages you send us.
- Technical: anonymised analytics and the security logs needed to run the service.
Why
- To verify eligibility and run the competition fairly (legitimate interest and your consent at registration).
- To contact you about the event and your team.
- To keep participants safe on site (emergency contact, dietary needs).
- To promote AccroNex using photos, video and project details, with your consent.
- To share a CV book with sponsors, only for participants who opt in.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase) and Vercel. Text messages are sent through our SMS provider, which receives the mobile number and the message. Your idea pitch is seen only by your team and the organisers, never by other teams.
How long
Verification codes are stored only as a hash and deleted once used. Profile and competition data is kept for three years so returning participants don’t re-enter it and results stay verifiable, then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete earlier.
Your rights
Under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@accronautobot.com. We answer within 21 days.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for sign-in and privacy-friendly analytics. No advertising trackers.
